For all the fallen heroes
We say a prayer today
What made them run to raging fires?
While others ran away

Was it something deep inside them?
Or guidance from above
That gave them so much courage
To do a job they loved

They put their lives upon the line
Each and every day
To serve us and protect us
In oh so many ways

Some hazards for firefighters
Where hidden from their eyes
It's like a silent killer
Until another dies

So as we gather here today
To morn another loss
We remember all they did for us
No matter what the cost

For all the fallen heroes
We say a prayer today
And know that god will guide them
Back to his arm's again
